Temporary Apartment
Here is our temporary apartment. As you can see, it is nothing fancy, but it is cozy and it has a table that actually seats all 4 of us at once! That is something we very much appreciate after the hotel for so long. We aren't really unpacking the suitcases because we have high hopes that we will be finding our own place before long. It is a one bedroom, so the second bed is a fold out couch...but that seems to be working out OK too. There are a lot of stairs to climb to get up here, and for the record, this place costs $4,000 a month. It is about 600 sq. ft.
Within a few blocks walking distance is all sorts of cool stuff--last night we walked a block and a half to see the 3-D movie "Meet The Robinsons", which was very cute. Also we can walk to bookstores, grocery stores, the subway, Central Park and lots of restaurants and little shops.
We do have an address and phone number here, please email if you would like it. Now we officially have mail forwarded from 3 addresses.

Hi Kristin, I cannot believe how much the rent is! HOLY COW! I have been enjoying reading about your adventures, but just now created an account so that I can leave you comments. Good luck in finding your own place and settling in to the city! Love, Sara (your neighbor at the ghost ranch!)
