Definitely a Gemini (not a Taurus)

I have 5 unfinished posts sitting in my blogger folder, and I don't know why they don't seem to get published. I guess it reflects my state of mind, which I can only describe as La La Land. I know, people getting ready to give birth are supposed to be in La La Land, and I don't mean to complain, but ummmmm, how much longer am I going to be here? If I was an animal I would be a sloth. OK, maybe not quite that bad. At least a Koala or something. Don't they like to sleep like 20 hours a day and they get really tired of walking up the subway stairs? Sigh. Here is what I look like now. And why do M & J love to kiss my belly? Don't worry, I don't walk around with my stomach hanging out, that was just for the benefit of our photo shoot in the North Woods this weekend. It is one of the few places in New York where you can walk around and not see any other people. At least for a few yards or so. New York, by the way, was drop dead gorgeous this past weekend. Green and full of flowers and foliage and the birds were out and the weather was perfection and they even temporarily lifted the ban on barbecuing in Central Park so it was like a festival on the Great Hill. They turned the water fountains on in the playgrounds even.
We had a BBQ with friends at their place on Saturday and then picnicked with a group in the park Monday while the kids ran around in packs chasing over sized balls and getting sweaty and dirty. Today the kids and I spent the whole day with friends who live in Brooklyn--they have a house and yard, so they spent the day digging in the dirt, running barefoot in the grass and making a birthday party for Ming Hoa (a stuffed monkey). It was lovely, and I just got to sit around eating nice food and chatting with friends.
We have found an apartment in Virginia Beach and are scheduled to be there from July 1 to August 31. It is in an apartment complex in between the boardwalk and the Navy base where Brett will be working, and the kids are thrilled to hear that it has TWO whole bedrooms. Moving up in the world! They are, I must mention, very sad to be missing two friends' birthdays in NYC, and some of their fun summer activities here. Hopefully we will be able to find other fun things to do there. I think we are pretty excited about the adventure of it all. Also new on this project is that I am going to attempt to do some AutoCAD work for Brett...we are starting with a small commitment, but if all goes well it could grow to more work.
That is about it on the juicy details. OK, total cop out--nothing juicy at all here. I am struggling at the moment with the internal work of preparing for birth and a new baby. Can't seem to get it out coherently so will save it for another post. Or one more unfinished post, as the case may be, and you'll just have to take my word for it. Suffice it to say I am irritable, grouchy, sensitive, needy and spacey, and not fun to be around, unless you are my dog, who thinks I'm just The Tops. Seriously, everyone should have a dog once in their lives who loves them beyond measure. It is really great for your self esteem.
On that note, I am off to bed. Oh, we might be getting an offer on our house tomorrow. Excited to see what it is.

We can't wait to see little Sposito from NYC. What a wonderful day to spend in NYC.
