Running Kids

Here are some pictures of the kids running track. Next week we have only one more regular class and then a big track meet on Wednesday. We kind of quit going to tennis about a week and a half ago. It was a great class, and the kids liked it, it is just that I was kind of worried they would get heat stroke. Seriously, they were out on the tennis courts in the middle of the afternoon in 95 degrees and massive humidity running around shriveling up before my very eyes. Actually I thought *I* was going to get heat stroke just watching them. So now our usual plan is track in the shady morning then playing on the playground you can see in the background of the first photo and then jumping in the beautiful, welcoming, glorious swimming pool that is right next to the track. It has been lovely!
The weather has actually turned downright cold, or maybe it is just normal but the high temps we had acclimated to have messed up the definition of "normal". After the brief tornado on Thursday things have cooled off considerably. We actually haven't used our air conditioner for a full two days. I am sure that is going to change by tomorrow...but maybe we can knock a buck or two off our ridiculously high electric bill.
