Easter and the Theoretical Arrival of Spring

Here are the kids at an Easter Egg hunt in Morningside Park on the day before Easter. It was cold, so the coffee cooled off too quickly and I just didn't feel like taking the gloves off long enough to take many photos. Also I couldn't get the kids to look up to the camera...they were too focused on trying to get more eggs than anyone else. They scored big on the Easter baskets though, I tried to channel my mother (who was the master at making killer baskets and I was devastated sometime in college when she told me I was too old for them...) The kids here belong to the group of moms I have a once a month breakfast with at the local crepe restaurant. They are mostly Jonah's age, and were organized by our friend Jean (Belen's mom) who lives on our floor. A great group of down to earth, rad chicksters...and I am so happy to have found a nice group that frequents the playground across the street.
Aside from the egg hunt, we colored eggs...they are getting better each year...and now both kids really enjoy eating them hard boiled, so that is kind of fun.
Spring is here officially, but it isn't exactly feeling like it on a regular basis. I know it can't be far off because our four legged companion is beginning to molt like its going out of style. So the warm weather can't be far away, right???
We just had dentist appointments for the kids today and their teeth are great. Such a relief after last time's traumatic dentist visit for Jonah.
Brett might go to Barbados in a week or two, after he finishes working all weekend to finish this report from the San Francisco project. He is struggling with a cold/allergies that are flirting with a sinus infection, but I think he is now on the upswing.
I am back to sleeping most of the night again, thank goodness. Baby must have gotten off my bladder for a while. Saturday I will be 31 weeks along. Still feeling really well for the most part...
And no, we haven't finished our taxes. Barely started them, actually. Sigh.
