Chorus
Maya is in the front row. It isn't a great picture, but you get the gist. Jonah decided 1/2 way through he didn't want to stick with it, so he and I spent a lot of time napping in the back of the auditorium while Maya sang. Fine by me--he was technically too young anyways, so maybe next time This is the NYU Children's Chorus, a free program run by the University. It is so fabulous--I can't believe how complicated the songs are they can get these kids to sing, and in a fun, fast-paced way. It is run by a Music Professor and the students help conduct, accompany on piano and other instruments and I think they can earn college credit for the program. Their final concert was also shared by 5 other University choirs, including Gospel and Jazz. It was a lot of fun, and for Maya, who suffers from extreme anxiety about performing on stage, it was a major accomplishment. She did it and really enjoyed herself.
