More bugs

Guess what, we are covered in bug bites again! This time it is from these mean little gnats. And once again, Jonah didn't get any, Brett got a few, Kristin is itchy and uncomfortable and Maya is covered and miserable. OK, maybe I am exaggerating, I guess they aren't all that bad...
We went canoeing in a tandem canoe at Big Talbot Marsh on Monday night. It was beautiful and warm and the fish were jumping and birds were everywhere. It was a great workout for Brett and I...we did it after work and hit the water at 3PM but had to be back by 5PM with the canoe, so we kind of had to bust our tails to get back in time. The gnats were nonexistent while rowing, but the minute we landed on our little stretch of sandy beach they attacked us. Unlike our other buggy encounters so far, they actually hurt when they bit you.
Aside from the gnats, we went back to Hugenot State Park for some shallow wave beach time, and also tried out Fernandina Beach on Sunday, along with a lovely little seafood restaurant with live music outside right beside a playstructure in the sand for the kids. Does it get any better than that?
Maya had her 2nd American Girl Doll Bookclub last night at the library--it was cute and we saw Emily again, so that was fun.
This weekend we head to Orlando for a couple of nights, and guess what? Craig is playing a PGA tournament there this weekend, so we will see if we can figure out how to see him while we are there.
